After a very hotly contested Democratic primary to represent the southern part of Burlington in the VT House, Tiff Bluemle and I are running uncontested in the general election. That means we're turning our attention to the many issues facing us. We heard loud and clear that affordability (including affordable housing), property taxes, public safety (including addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and crime), climate change, and health care costs were most important to you, and we've started meeting with state leaders to develop policies to address these challenges.
